ABOUT US
Well, it is finally happening…it seems like a dream. I wrote this in the Summer of 2001 for my then 1-year old daughter, Kayleigh, whilst living in a garage apartment at Jerry Bernier’s Brookside Farm. I held onto the original chicken scratch ballpoint pen adorned college-ruled paper the story was first told to. Reading it to my son, Jack, and then later to my youngest as well. My audience enjoyed it.
Enter Jessica Johnson into my life 6 years ago. The story remained shelved until 2 years ago, but, upon noting how wonderful she is with art, I bought her a whole bunch of supplies. With the help of her child, an accomplished artist, the first 2 main characters were given 2-dimensional life.
A long, arduous process, 100% rights retained, self-publishing with help from Book Baby and some editing from a published author, Lafe Lowe, we finally are at the end (or beginning.)
“It’s Good to be Different” is now available for purchase on the Amazon, BookBaby, and you can order directly from us here.
This is for you Mom & Dad. You encouraged my writing (and reading) from a very young age. It's finally done. Thank you, I love you.
